All cash prizes are indicated gross and will be paid to the winning player by bank transfer net, with the deduction of the Italian tax law.
RULES
• In order to participate in the tournament, players must have their FIDE ID as required by the FIDE regulations in use at FSI tournaments.
• All ITALIAN players present in the FIDE list must have FSI membership for the year 2025 with a competitive or under 18 membership. If necessary, it will be possible to register at the game, but it is strongly recommended to do so in good time through your chess association.
• Pairing system: Swiss
• Any player arriving at the chessboard more than 60 minutes later than the scheduled time will forfeit the game.
• Players are required to arrive at the playing venue in clothing appropriate to the international profile of the event (no swimming costumes, tank tops, flip-flops).
• It is forbidden to bring electronic devices into the competition area. The reception desk at Ecoresort Le Sirenè is available to collect the mobile phones of players not resident at the hotel, and to return them
upon presentation of the owner’s identity document.
• The Referee is appointed by the FSI. The Referee’s decisions are final.
• The organisation reserves the right to grant 6 wildcards in the Master and Main tournaments to guarantee access to the higher tournament to players who are close to the scoring threshold or deserving for particular sporting merit or titles achieved.
• In accordance with the FSI RTF – article 7.5.1, players participating in the Master, Main and Rising and Youth tournaments may request a bye, corresponding to ½ point, only once, except for the last 3 (three)
rounds of play and for the Youth in the last two (2) rounds of play. Whoever is interested, before the tournament starts, must make the request by e-mail by writing to info@chesspro.it with referee direction addressee, indicating the round for which the bye is requested.
• Prizes are listed in the announcement of competition gross but will be paid to the winners net of the deduction required by the regulations for sporting events held in Italy.
• Electronic chessboards and video cameras may be present in the Master tournament and possibly in the Main tournament, and the games played there may thus be streamed live with commentary, for the benefit of the Italian and international chess community.
• For all matters not covered by this notice – rules of the event and the supplementary information on this website the rules of the FIDE International Rules in force at the time of registration shall apply. Registration implies acceptance of and compliance with the provisions set out herein and any amendments made for the success of the event.
• ATTENTION: for the Master, main and Rising tournaments it is also mandatory to confirm your presence in the gaming room by 2.30 pm on 25 May 2025. The inability to comply with this obligation can be alternatively resolved by means of a written communication via email to info@chesspro.it that guarantees presence in the first round. If one of the two conditions does not occur, the player will not be included in the pairings of the 1st round of the game.
