The 6th edition of the Open Salento - Ecoresort Le Sirenè ...it seems like yesterday that the demonstration was moving from Otranto to Gallipoli starting a new adventure ...and instead have been six years old!
Years marked by the combination of chemical Caroli Hotels & Chess Projects, years of progressive improvements in many aspects, technical, tourism and above all in terms of volume of participants and their satisfaction in having made the choice to spend a holiday week full chess, sports, relaxation, tourism, culture and great food.
The edition of last year was probably the best of ever, with over 80 participants and the usual origin of at least half of them from abroad, at last, however, also the Italian presence reaches a significant volume. 2017 can only be aimed at the consolidation of this achievement and a further effort to get close to 100 players.
To achieve this result to the now tourist offer quality, the prize money of tournament € 5,500, plus the competitive prices, the various promotions, an entry fee of blocked for the past three years and invited prestige...to date already confirmed the presence of three Grand Masters, the first Woman Grandmaster, International Master 4, 1 Master International Female under 16, 1 Master Fide under 16 ...present both in the tournament room in the blitz tournament in the free evening classes for amateurs present in tourist facilities branded Caroli Hotels (Ecoresort Le Sirenè and Joly Hotel Gallipoli).
Of course we stop here and certainly not during the year will be announced other invited thick and if the good luck will also assist us a great surprise!
